New Beginnings
Early works from the beginning of my journey in clay.
After retiring from my career as a dispensing optician, I discovered ceramics almost by accident. What began as curiosity soon became a passion and eventually a second career.
This collection brings together some of my earliest ceramic works. They reflect a period of learning, experimenting and developing the skills and confidence that continue to shape my work today. Looking back, I can already recognise ideas about form, texture and surface that have remained part of my practice, even as my work has evolved.
